GENERAL PEST MANAGEMENT SERVICE[GPMS]
This treatment is for the management of cockroaches, Red and black ants. The treatment is based on the use of gel bait and water based Deltamethrin.
Mode of treatment
The treatment comprises use of baiting technology that provides maximum efficacy against target insects and minimum impact on human activity. The gel bait is a low dose technology requiring very small size application of the bait.
This technique is supplemented with liquid pesticide formulation of Deltamethrin 2.5 flow/Cypermethrin and will be applied as crack and crevice, spot treatment. The complete combination of chemicals used in this service is odorless, without any smell/less smell and more effective than the conventional spraying methods. The treatment can be carried out in sensitive area such as electrical control boxes, computers etc. There is no need to leave the premises during and after the treatment. No need to empty drawers covers up sensitive equipments, computers or does any special preparation prior to the treatment. Another advantage is less number of treatments per year. This treatment can be carried out during working hours and there is no disturbance to you/yours staff working in the areas.
Method of application
Deltamethrin as K-othrine flow as Solfac EW is to be applied as a controlled/ restricted spray with 3lt. Lightweight or 5lt. Capacity hand compression sprayer. Intel Gel bait is applied as spot treatment with a modified syringe/cartridge applicator with torch. Lightweight hand compression sprayer only for outside area such as gutters and sewers, chambers etc.
Frequency
Carry out the treatment once in a month to eradicate the same. Records to be maintained as per Annexure-I.
Preventive Measures
For this treatment to be effective an integrated approach-involving all [production/ engineering/ maintenance staff is necessary. These will be suggested/ evaluated during quarterly Audit Inspection]
Exclusion- Inspection of incoming material for cockroaches, bed bugs before storage and use in premises. Seal possible entry points, for cockroaches around drain lines near bath.
Elimination of Water Source – sealing of leaky pipes and taps and not over watering indoor plants which can create damp, moist place suitable for cockroach survival.
Elimination of Food Source- Maintaining good sanitary and hygienic practices is important
Elimination of Harborage – sealing crack and crevices and holes in canteen and kitchen, keeping away trace, regular clearing
